Editorial Coordinator
The DrumEditorial Coordinator at The Drum managing content and events while engaging with industry leaders. Working cross-functionally to maximize editorial and event impact across the US market.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Sit at the intersection of editorial, events, audience development and commercial strategy across the US market.
- Bring together content, industry relationships and live experiences to create engagement opportunities.
- Work directly with editors, journalists, event producers, commercial leaders and industry stakeholders.
- Shape content opportunities around major industry moments and coordinate high-profile interviews.
- Maximize the impact of The Drum's events and editorial platforms.
- Manage editorial planning calendars related to events, conferences and industry activations.
- Identify opportunities for editorial coverage and audience engagement.
- Partner closely with editorial and events teams for content strategy alignment.
- Support ongoing community-building efforts around industry influencers.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2–5 years of experience in media, publishing, conferences, events, content marketing, partnerships, community engagement or a related field.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience coordinating stakeholders, contributors, speakers or external partners.
- Proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively across multiple teams and seniority levels.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems proactively and remain calm under pressure.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Experience within media, publishing, events, marketing, advertising or communications industries.
- Familiarity with editorial workflows, content planning and event production processes.
- Experience using CRM, project management, scheduling or editorial management platforms.
- Knowledge of the marketing, advertising and media landscape.
- Understanding of audience engagement, social media and content distribution strategies.
