About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Grow SCCAC youth ministry in godly and meaningful ways.
Lead and coordinate effective youth programs: implementing Friday night fellowship, Youth Sunday Schools, discipleship, evangelism/mission opportunities, and other youth ministry-related functions.
Work closely with the coordinator of English worship service.
Preach once every two months or more if possible in English worship service.
Recruit, train, and shepherd volunteer youth co-workers with diverse gifts and personalities.
Provide counseling and spiritual direction to youth on an individual basis.
Maintain contact with youth and parents, keeping them informed of ongoing activities.
Keep parents updated on ministry strategies and plans in a way that encourages partnership and involvement.
Oversee the youth ministry budget.
Participate as needed or requested in the evaluation and development of the overall church ministry.
Attend the weekly staff meeting.
Attend governing board meetings.
Present annual ministry updates and goals for the coming year to the Governing Board.
Assist church leadership in developing a yearly budget for implementing all programs and activities for the youth ministry.
Work with the church leadership in special events.

Requirements

What you’ll need

A minimum of a college degree
1-5 years of volunteer experience in youth ministry
A commitment to Jesus Christ and to a growing personal relationship with Him.
A commitment for ministering to youth in a Christ-centered way.
A commitment to the State College Chinese Alliance Church and to its beliefs.
A balanced and Christ-honoring Christian lifestyle.
