About Animation Inc.: At Animation Inc., we reinvent human-AI interaction with a real-time, on-device generative animation engine for lifelike, interactive characters.
About the role: Generate character concepts and skin lines (stylised/anime or adjacent styles), and design a reproducible, documented image-generation pipeline end-to-end reference strategy, prompt systems, constraints, consistency methods, paintover, and final delivery.
What you’ll do:
Create high-quality character concepts & themed skins with strong silhouette/readability (including both front and back views).
Develop new or adapt existing ComfyUI workflows to support efficient, repeatable production pipelines.
Perform detailed hand-painted overpaints.
Understand that design is an iterative process - we move step by step, not relying purely on AI randomness.
Partner with engineers to align the pipeline with our real-time stack.
Requirements
Portfolio showing stylised/anime character work and series/variants of the same character.
Experience as a 2D/Concept Artist or AI Artist and confidence with graph/node-based generation tools and prompt workflows.
Strong fundamentals (composition, form, colour, light) and an eye for production constraints (readability at mobile/thumbnail sizes).
Mastery of non-destructive post-processing and paintover in Photoshop (or similar).
Habit of documenting the pipeline: parameters, checkpoints/versions, and asset licensing notes.
Communicative English; comfortable with fast, collaborative iteration.
Nice to Have:
Experience with adapter/parameter-efficient fine-tuning and character-specific reference workflows.
Light scripting/automation for batch runs.
3D literacy for block-ins/lighting to support paintovers.
Shipped art for games/apps/interactive media.
