Lead Piping, QA Checker – Cadworx, Revit

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a primary technical authority for piping design
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, material specifications, project design bases and internal procedures
- Be accountable for piping design quality
- Communicate clear technical direction and expectations to designers, engineers and workshare teams
- Review vendor drawings, specialty piping data and design deliverables for accuracy, fit, function and constructability
- Perform and guide 3D model-based design reviews
- Evaluate piping layouts, supports and interfaces for compatibility
- Identify design risks early
- Provide clear, actionable redlines and feedback
- Apply QA/QC judgment throughout design development
- Support project-specific design verification and quality activities
- Participate in technical, interdisciplinary and quality reviews
- Maintain strong team relationships and communicate design risks
- Support global workshare execution
- Mentor designers, engineers and checking staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED
- 12 - 15+ years experience in Piping Design or Engineering
- 3+ years of proven technical leadership
- Proven ability to manage or support scope, schedule and budget considerations on multi-discipline industrial projects
- Strong working knowledge of Cadworx or Revit
- Advanced working knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASME, B31.3, and related industry codes)
- Demonstrated understanding of constructability, safety and cost control principles
