About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in ongoing financial accounting, including accounts receivable, accounts payable and fixed assets accounting
  • Detailed review, coding and posting of incoming and outgoing invoices
  • Intercompany reconciliations and settlements between group entities
  • Management of payment transactions
  • Active support in upcoming annual financial statements under HGB (balance sheet, income statement/P&L, cash flow)
  • Maintenance and execution of monthly reporting, including BWA commentary
  • Analysis of variance between target and actuals and derivation of business measures
  • Preparation of budgets, forecasts, reports and liquidity overviews for internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordination with tax advisors, auditors and tax authorities
  • Work across multiple entities with around 150,000 postings per year

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Solid professional experience in accounting (accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, intercompany)
  • Ideally experience in a multi-entity environment or in a role with broad individual responsibility
  • Experience in detailed invoice review and coding
  • Strong understanding of HGB (German Commercial Code) financial statements
  • Ideally experience contributing to annual financial statements
  • Controlling skills to derive KPIs, forecasts and business measures from financial data
  • Confident use of DATEV is required
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Quick to grasp new topics (fast learner)
  • High degree of autonomy
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Business-fluent German and English, both written and spoken
  • Initial experience with BI tools and building reporting structures from scratch is a plus
  • Background in hospitality, real estate or a multi-entity setup is a plus
  • Interest in automation and process optimization (API integrations, booking/transaction automation) is a plus
