About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Join a company committed to protecting scientists and advancing research worldwide.
  • Analyze, develop, and improve manufacturing and production processes to enhance efficiency, quality, safety, and cost performance.
  • Report to the Manufacturing Operations Manager and coordinate activities supporting all phases of process improvement.
  • Create detailed work instructions and visual aids to maintain production standards.
  • Propose, sponsor, and lead projects to improve manufacturing performance.
  • Assist in designing testing methods and value stream mapping exercises.
  • Work with safety and engineering groups to meet plant safety requirements.
  • Train supervisors and team leaders in required tasks.
  • Support continuous improvement and shop cleanliness utilizing 5S.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS Degree in Engineering preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Self-starter who is able to meet expectations with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational skills – able to plan and prioritize multiple tasks/projects
  • Detail oriented and strong communication skills
  • Highly motivated, results oriented, customer focused, with a high commitment level
  • Excellent listening, interpretation and reasoning skills required
  • Must have demonstrated experience with Continuous Improvement Tools
  • Work schedule can exceed 40 hours when required.
