About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Represent The Alaska Center Education Fund at community meetings and events
Develop and implement civic engagement programs focused on voter education
Build and maintain relationships with community partners
Conduct direct voter contact through canvassing and community events
Recruit and empower volunteers for advocacy work
Supervise temporary election staff as needed
Facilitate cohorts of the Rise and Represent Alaska program
Create and update training curriculum as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least five years of professional experience
Some experience in recruitment and training, and/or leadership development
Strong local network within Alaska
Passion for The Alaska Center Education Fund’s vision
Commitment to understanding equity issues in organizing and politics
Good project organization skills and self-direction
Ability to work with a wide variety of people in a positive manner
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
Ability to maintain a positive attitude in high-pressure situations
