About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the business growth pipeline for targeted Five Eye (FVEY)+ nations
- Lead campaign development, capture activities, and proposal efforts
- Manage Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems for direct international opportunities and provide CRM support for other international programs
- Develop and execute growth strategies in partnership with International division and LOB leadership
- Expand the market for Aerospace FFRDC-like services to support federal government organizations in target countries
- Strengthen relationships with key allies, agencies, and stakeholders through focused engagement with decision-makers
- Coordinate demonstrations, capability briefings, workshops, and technical exchanges
- Shape the pipeline and build strategic partnerships through country/customer assessments, new mission evaluations, and emerging technology assessments
- Build alliances and enhance credibility through collaboration with international partners
- Travel internationally when strategically necessary to support customer visits and key engagements, maximizing virtual engagement for ongoing relationship management
- Collaborate cross-functionally with capture, proposal, program management, contracts, legal, and pricing teams to ensure successful opportunity pursuit and contract execution
- Track and report on growth metrics, resource expenditure, opportunity pipeline, account plans, and return on investment (ROI)
- Maintain customer information and pipeline databases in CRM
- Participate in budget planning and recommend process improvements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physical science, or related technical discipline
- At least 12 years of technical space experience in FFRDC, UARC, industry, or federally funded laboratory
- At least four years of experience developing international space partnerships, with demonstrated ability to close new business opportunities in the range of 10 to 100 Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs) or $2M to $25M, preferably with an allied gov’t entity (civil, military, or intelligence) agency for an FFRDC, UARC, or federally funded laboratory
- Knowledge of, and experience with international military space programs, budgets, and international cooperation
- Knowledge of export control authorities, rules, and restrictions, including ITAR, EAR, USML, TAA, etc.
- Significant experience in a leadership role; and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of customers and corporate staff
- Demonstrated experience in the ability to define a strategy, develop and communicate business plans, execute plans, and/or direct individuals in other organizations to support the execution of elements of those plans
- Experience using enterprise class Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software with accountability for qualified pipeline and other performance metrics
- Experience working with and across corporate functions – finance, contracts, security, legal
- Competency in the use of Microsoft 365 and collaboration technologies
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel domestically or internationally, up to 5-15%
