About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Carry out analysis driving recommendations for research, development, and acquisition decisions for legacy and emerging navigation and positioning systems
- Serve as a key point of contact for specialized technical expertise in geolocation, PNT architecture analysis or PNT resilience
- Lead cross-department teams in conducting specialized technical analysis and development tasks
- Independently translate customer needs into project objectives and provide technical evaluations
- Perform end-to-end (E2E) performance evaluations and analysis-of-alternatives (AoA) using in-house or internally developed analysis tools
- Serve as a technical mentor to junior staff in one or more department focus areas, coordinating training and delivering a strategy for maintaining bench depth in department capabilities
- Develop and present timely and technically accurate presentations and reports that clearly communicate analysis results to technical leads, management, and customers
- Support development and sustainment of the organization’s analysis and simulation tools and capabilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- B.S. degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline from an accredited school
- 8 or more years of relevant professional, technical work experience
- Professional experience with space-related modeling and simulation, geolocation, mission data processing, signal processing, space threats, resilient systems, advanced PNT technologies, algorithm design, software development, or mathematical modeling
- Proficiency with one or more software languages that may include Python, C, C++, MATLAB, Fortran, Java
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
