About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Carry out analysis driving recommendations for research, development, and acquisition decisions for legacy and emerging navigation and positioning systems
Serve as a key point of contact for specialized technical expertise in geolocation, PNT architecture analysis or PNT resilience
Lead cross-department teams in conducting specialized technical analysis and development tasks
Independently translate customer needs into project objectives and provide technical evaluations
Perform end-to-end (E2E) performance evaluations and analysis-of-alternatives (AoA) using in-house or internally developed analysis tools
Serve as a technical mentor to junior staff in one or more department focus areas, coordinating training and delivering a strategy for maintaining bench depth in department capabilities
Develop and present timely and technically accurate presentations and reports that clearly communicate analysis results to technical leads, management, and customers
Support development and sustainment of the organization’s analysis and simulation tools and capabilities

Requirements

What you’ll need

B.S. degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline from an accredited school
8 or more years of relevant professional, technical work experience
Professional experience with space-related modeling and simulation, geolocation, mission data processing, signal processing, space threats, resilient systems, advanced PNT technologies, algorithm design, software development, or mathematical modeling
Proficiency with one or more software languages that may include Python, C, C++, MATLAB, Fortran, Java
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
