About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Independently lead tool development designed for modeling and analysis studies of sensors, sensing systems and their broader system-of-systems architectures.
  • Collaborate with other team-members to perform tool development and support systems engineering studies to assess tradeoffs to balance system performance and optimizations.
  • Design modeling/simulation and analysis strategies that leverage framework of modeling, simulation and analysis tools.
  • Develop novel performance metrics and analyze the performance of sensors such as electro-optical (EO), radar and passive radio frequency sensor concepts, architectures, and algorithms.
  • Develop and implement algorithms for applications including tracking, data-fusion and novel approaches to improve performance for radar, lidar, and/or related sensors and sensor architectures.
  • Lead projects to improve existing modeling and simulation tools on an ongoing basis.
  • Develop novel simulation approaches, computer tools and simulations to support analyses of interdisciplinary support teams.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related discipline.
  • A minimum of 6 years of applicable professional experience leading technical teams and coordinating complex modeling and analysis tasks.
  • Demonstrated strength and experience in modeling, simulation, and analysis of space systems.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government.
  • U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel and/or work off-business hours to support customer needs, approximately 5 - 10 % (as required).
  • For Senior Engineering Specialist: A minimum of 10 years of applicable professional experience leading technical teams and coordinating complex modeling and analysis tasks.
