About the role
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for indirect goods and services categories across The Aerospace Corporation.
- Develop and implement category strategies that align with organizational goals and drive supplier performance, innovation, and cost optimization.
- Conduct market analysis, supplier capability assessments, and competitive benchmarking to identify sourcing opportunities.
- Lead RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs; manage supplier negotiations, contract terms, and pricing to ensure best-value outcomes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop sourcing roadmaps.
- Partner with internal teams on supplier relationship management (SRM), continuous improvement and supplier innovation initiatives.
- Implement procedures to continuously evaluate suppliers, costs, and deliverability.
- Contribute to process improvement efforts and promote procurement best practices across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field
- 8 years of supply chain experience with 5 years of relevant procurement strategic sourcing and contracting.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional sourcing projects from strategy development through contract execution.
- Technical leadership and contractual competencies to form strategies to construct and execute contractual activities utilizing various contracting types that are developed based on the need of each organization
- Experience establishing/developing appropriately scaled SRM framework
- Advanced Project management skills to build, manage, and meet effective procurement schedules
- Advanced financial acumen and analytical skills required to construct pricing strategies/exhibits, conduct bid evaluation, and justify pricing reasonableness
