About the role

  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for indirect goods and services categories across The Aerospace Corporation.
  • Develop and implement category strategies that align with organizational goals and drive supplier performance, innovation, and cost optimization.
  • Conduct market analysis, supplier capability assessments, and competitive benchmarking to identify sourcing opportunities.
  • Lead RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs; manage supplier negotiations, contract terms, and pricing to ensure best-value outcomes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop sourcing roadmaps.
  • Partner with internal teams on supplier relationship management (SRM), continuous improvement and supplier innovation initiatives.
  • Implement procedures to continuously evaluate suppliers, costs, and deliverability.
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts and promote procurement best practices across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field
  • 8 years of supply chain experience with 5 years of relevant procurement strategic sourcing and contracting.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional sourcing projects from strategy development through contract execution.
  • Technical leadership and contractual competencies to form strategies to construct and execute contractual activities utilizing various contracting types that are developed based on the need of each organization
  • Experience establishing/developing appropriately scaled SRM framework
  • Advanced Project management skills to build, manage, and meet effective procurement schedules
  • Advanced financial acumen and analytical skills required to construct pricing strategies/exhibits, conduct bid evaluation, and justify pricing reasonableness
