About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide engineering and analytical support to government customers in portfolio management and systems-of-systems engineering
  • Interact directly with Aerospace program office personnel and government customers
  • Provide enterprise engineering and analytical support in portfolio management, digital engineering, and systems engineering across defense, intelligence, and civil government domains
  • Develop enterprise-level models and roadmaps for data-driven decisions on complex, cross-organizational challenges
  • Support deployment or implementation of Aerospace tools and frameworks with government customers
  • Identify new capabilities and enhancements to better support customers
  • Contribute to studies solving new technical problems and providing new technical solutions
  • Inform management of perceived technical problems and recommend courses of action
  • Collaborate with cross-organizational teams
  • Travel occasionally as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completing a Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, math, or related technical discipline (pursuing or conferred within last 12 months)
  • 0–1 year of industry experience
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or better
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills and ability to work effectively with a diverse set of collaborators
  • Ability to function in multi-disciplinary systems engineering and/or program management environments
  • Coursework or research experience in system architecting activities
  • Willing to travel domestically/internationally approximately 10%
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance issued by the U.S. government
  • U.S. citizenship required to obtain a security clearance
  • Transcripts required
  • Active security clearance preferred
  • Experience in systems-of-systems engineering and architecting and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) discipline, literature, tools, and processes preferred
  • Coursework or research experience in broad, multidisciplinary teams involving system design, acquisition and/or operations in satellite systems, ground systems, launch systems, spacecraft buses, and/or spacecraft payloads preferred
  • Prior experience with Aerospace architecting and design capabilities preferred
