About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support space mission analyses and operations
Perform algorithm assessment and development
Perform space protection and space threat susceptibility, vulnerability analysis and resiliency assessment
Analyze orbit determination, target tracking, Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) analysis, and signal integrity
Conduct analysis using in-house, custom, commercially available, and government-provided modeling, simulation, and analysis tools
Apply standard techniques and procedures to carry out prescribed scientific and/or engineering tasks
Participate in concept development, systems engineering, architecture analysis, algorithm development, and evaluation support for national security space customers
Receive training and mentorship

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree completed and currently enrolled fulltime in an accredited college/university program pursuing a Master's or Ph.D. degree in physics, applied mathematics, engineering or related discipline OR Senior class standing by internship start date and enrolled in a graduate STEM degree program beginning Fall 2027
Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term and ability to return to a degree program full-time after completion of the internship
Completion of Bachelor's degree prior to internship start date
Minimum GPA 3.0
Experience programming in MatLab, Python, C, C++ or JAVA
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
U.S. citizenship required to obtain a security clearance
Strong written and oral communication skills
Must work well in a team environment
Strong organizational, time management and project management skills
Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing organizational needs
Effective interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts and work with other internal and external organizations
