About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support analysis in geo-spatial intelligence, signals intelligence, space surveillance, navigation systems, and/or space protection
  • Apply engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to support research, development, and acquisition recommendations for space-based sensing architectures
  • Evaluate architecture performance using in-house or custom-developed analysis tools
  • Collaborate with senior staff, management, and teams on deep dives, trade studies, and assessments
  • Translate customer needs into project objectives and provide quality deliverables to customer organizations
  • Develop and present technically accurate presentations and reports communicating analysis results and recommended solutions
  • Support the sustainment, development, and growth of analysis and simulation capabilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • M.S. degree in aerospace engineering, physics, operations research, mathematics, or a related field from an accredited program (pursuing or conferred within last 12 months)
  • 0–1 year of industry experience in relevant topic areas post bachelor’s degree, such as modeling and simulation, mission analysis, astrodynamics, or space operations
  • Knowledge or project experience with one or more of: space-related modeling and simulation, geolocation, mission data processing, signal processing, space threats, resilient systems, advanced PNT technologies, algorithm design, software development, or mathematical modeling
  • Familiarity with one or more software languages, including Python, C/C++, and/or High-Performance Computing/Linux environments
  • Minimum GPA 3.0
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship required to obtain a security clearance
  • Transcripts required
  • Preferred: PhD degree in a related field
  • Preferred: proficiency with Python, C, C++, MATLAB, Fortran, or Java
  • Preferred: significant experience in listed functional/mission areas
  • Preferred: knowledge of Intelligence Community or U.S. Department of Defense business practices, acquisition policies, or space mission portfolios
  • Preferred: current TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
