About the role
- Lead all maintenance activities of assigned aircraft and implement Solairus maintenance standards, methods, and procedures
- Conduct routine maintenance tracking, long term planning, scheduling and completion of maintenance events
- Financial responsibility for costs incurred associated with maintenance operations; develop and supervise maintenance budgets
- Supervise and approve expenditures related to assigned aircraft and supervise maintenance personnel including cleaning
- Coordinate maintenance training requirements with the Director of Maintenance and/or Client Aviation Manager
- Coordinate with non-company personnel or AMOs performing maintenance and conduct vendor evaluations
- Ensure complete records of inspections, repairs, component changes, flight/engine times, ADs, and service letters
- Ensure compliance with Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins and remove unsafe aircraft from service
- Ensure operational readiness of aircraft with minimal schedule impact
- Serve as liaison between the company and the FAA regarding maintenance policies
- Maintain certification and technical recency per 14 CFR 65.83 and perform internal audits to ensure adequate tools, parts, and facilities are available
Requirements
- Must hold a valid A&P Certificate
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Corporate Aircraft Maintenance Operations
- Demonstrates knowledge of the CFRs and aircraft maintenance standards
- Proficient with planning, implementation, and direction of maintenance programs and control systems
- Recent experience in Challenger 300 (6 months within the past 24 mos.)
- Must be located or willing to relocate to within 1 hour of KIAD
- Maintains certification and technical recency requirements per 14 CFR 65.83
- Remains fit for duty and abstain from drug and alcohol abuse
- Supervisory experience over aircraft maintenance personnel and vendors
- Experience with budgeting, financial responsibility for maintenance costs
- Experience coordinating with Approved Maintenance Organizations (AMOs) and conducting vendor evaluations
- Experience maintaining complete records of inspections, repairs, ADs, service letters, and FAA maintenance instructions
- Experience performing internal audits of tool calibration and material control
