About the role

  • Prepare socioeconomic studies within environmental licensing processes (EIA/RIMA, PBA and related studies);
  • Develop socioeconomic assessments, including population characterization, economic dynamics, land use and occupation, infrastructure, public services and social vulnerabilities;
  • Collect, analyze and systematize secondary data (IBGE, IPEA, DATASUS, among others) and, when applicable, primary field data;
  • Support the identification, analysis and evaluation of socioeconomic impacts, as well as the proposal of mitigation and compensation measures and socio-environmental programs;
  • Participate in field activities, technical meetings, participatory workshops and stakeholder dialogue processes, when necessary;
  • Liaise with the multidisciplinary team (physical and biotic components), contributing to the integration of study results;
  • Support the coordination team in responding to environmental authorities, including replies to official requests, technical supplements and public hearings;
  • Contribute to methodological standardization and continuous improvement of the socio-environmental technical deliverables at Tetra Mais.

Requirements

  • Degree in Geography, Economics, Social Sciences, Sociology, Architecture and Urbanism or related fields;
  • Previous experience in socioeconomic studies within the context of environmental licensing;
  • Solid knowledge of EIA/RIMA, especially the socioeconomic components;
  • Ability to critically analyze socioeconomic data, social and territorial indicators;
  • Experience preparing assessments, technical reports and technical opinions;
  • Strong technical writing skills and the ability to organize complex information;
  • Familiarity with environmental legislation applicable to the socioeconomic context;
  • Availability to travel (fieldwork);
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and meet deadlines.
