About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide landscape architectural and consulting services for commercial, retail, multi-family, hotel, senior living, industrial, and/or governmental projects
- Develop plans and specifications, conduct site analysis and design, perform calculations, and prepare or review related reports
- Review drawings and construction for compliance with plans and specifications
- Prepare service proposals and track and evaluate project progress and budgets
- Recommend project changes
- Research and resolve design and construction problems
- Communicate complex issues and concepts to technical and non-technical clients and project teams
- Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards; participate in pre-task planning and report safety concerns
- Support consistent quality standards in proposal and project delivery
- Assist with research, data collection, field observation, inspection, and field and laboratory testing
- Prepare associated reports or sections of larger reports
- Consult with technical staff and supervisors on routine and less complex projects
- Perform basic calculations and analysis
- Draft routine proposals and assist with more complex proposals
- Draft plans using CAD software
- Work with technician crews on project-site observations and data gathering
- Prepare daily reports documenting activities and findings
- Work under the supervision of a Registered Landscape Architect
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture
- A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required
- Ability to use CAD software
- Ability to perform basic calculations and analysis
- Ability to conduct field observation, inspection, data collection, and testing
- Ability to prepare technical reports and proposals
- Ability to work under the supervision of a Registered Landscape Architect
