About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform testing, observation, and inspection according to training and specified procedures
- Document findings and results clearly
- Perform basic data analysis to verify accuracy before communication and submission to the Project Manager
- Communicate information to the Project Manager and other personnel as directed
- Assist higher-level technicians with complex tasks
- Maintain assigned equipment and related calibration
- Drive a Ford F-150 or equivalent vehicle
- Follow safety rules, project safety requirements, and pre-task planning procedures
- Report safety issues or concerns to management
- Maintain quality standards on all projects
- Travel 100% of the time on transportation, commercial building, wind farm, and other projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience or equivalent training and related experience
- Experience using laptop computers, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history
- Required ACI certification in Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I or Concrete Strength Testing Technician
- Certification in radiation safety and Nuclear Density Gauge operation
- Successful completion of related internal safety certifications
- Ability to travel 100% of the time within the North Central division, including Nebraska, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin
- Preferred certifications may include NICET Level II, ICC, AWS CAWI, ASNT Level II, and other materials-related certifications
