About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in leading the Transtec Group alternate delivery team on pavement design, evaluation, testing, and related pavement engineering work.
- Provide pavement engineering and consulting services for a variety of projects and clients.
- Lead a small team of engineers specializing in field geotechnical and pavement evaluations, engineering analysis, calculations, recommendations, design, development of plans, specifications, and report writing, preparation, review.
- Review project plans and specifications for compliance with pavement design recommendations.
- Prepare proposals and cost estimates, track and evaluate project progress, budgets, and recommend changes.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience and 5 or more years in pavement design.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
- Knowledge using AASHTOWare Pavement Software.
- A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.
- Master's degree in civil engineering preferred (not required)
- Demonstrated expertise in concrete and asphalt pavement design, forensic evaluation, and innovative rehabilitation systems.
- Strong communication, leadership, and client interaction skills.
- Knowledge using TxDOT Pavement Engineering Software.
