About the role
- Edit and proofread legal transcripts to ensure accuracy, clarity, and completeness
- Apply correct legal terminology, formatting, grammar, and punctuation
- Research and verify legal terms, procedures, and references as needed
- Meet firm deadlines while managing workload efficiently
- Uphold high quality standards across all assigned transcripts
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of verbatim legal transcription experience
- Strong familiarity with a range of legal document formats
- Ability to consistently produce at least 300 pages per week
- Exceptional attention to detail and command of legal terminology
- Strong typing, listening, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a production team
- Must be located in the United States
- Experience working in MAXScribe a plus
- Formal training or certification in legal transcription or court reporting preferred
