About the role
- Be the technical lead for a team in identifying customer requirements, analyzing, and evaluating multiple solutions, developing functional and physical architecture, verifying, and validating high-complexity systems.
- Lead and/or self-perform the execution of engineering activities.
- Work with Engineering Manager and Project Managers to manage internal and external capacity to meet project milestones.
- Perform quality review of work performed by assigned staff; identify, investigate, and resolve internal and external quality issues on projects.
- Manage and control the generation, issuance, resolution, and close-out of requests for information, technical inquiry forms, and transmittals/submittals.
- Participate in preparing proposals and scope development, including conceptual designs and execution plans, engineering/project cost estimates, and schedules.
- Coordinate technical activities and designs with personnel in other disciplines and departments within the local office.
- Provide leadership, training, and mentoring to less experienced engineers and team members.
- Provide short-term field support during construction.
- Any other actions required by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other technical degree.
- Three years minimum of engineering experience performing development of solar projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD.
- Project management experience is a plus
