About the role

  • Work end-to-end across ETL processes and report development, ensuring data accuracy and diagnosing variances.
  • Partner closely with client stakeholders and subject matter experts every day to understand their needs and translate complex requirements into actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with a Scrum team delivering large-scale financial and operational reporting solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering.
  • Industry experience in banking, insurance or utilities is highly desirable
  • Proven hands-on experience with modern data platforms and tools, such as: Snowflake, DBT, Power BI, GIT, Python, Microsoft Azure, AWS or other cloud data-centric technologies
  • Experience with Snowflake, DBT and Azure preferred
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modelling, and strong SQL skills across a range of database technologies
  • A strong foundation in data engineering principles and practices including exposure to DevOps
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • A proactive, detail-oriented, and client-focused mindset
  • Knowledge and experience of Guidewire BI or Cloud reporting tools would be beneficial
  • Someone looking to grow into team and project technical leadership roles.
