About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee day-to-day construction and infrastructure deployment activities during data center builds.
  • Coordinate the installation of power, cooling, cabling, racks, containment, and related systems to meet project timelines and quality standards.
  • Interpret and implement detailed design drawings, installation guidelines, and technical specifications.
  • Monitor contractor work to ensure compliance with design intent, industry standards, and safety protocols.
  • Support factory and site acceptance testing (FAT/SAT), commissioning, and handover to operations.
  • Track build progress, document changes, and escalate risks or issues to project stakeholders.
  • Ensure all infrastructure systems are installed, labeled, and tested according to standards and documentation requirements.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to resolve field changes and contribute to design feedback for future improvements.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field—or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in mission-critical environments, preferably in data center construction or build-out projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and structured cabling systems.
  • Familiarity with data center standards (Uptime Institute, TIA-942, ASHRAE) and commissioning practices.
  • Proficiency in construction documentation, scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera), and design software (AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Revit is a plus).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and on-site problem-solving skills.
