About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to residents
- Work as part of the nursing team to assess resident needs, plan and modify care and implement interventions
- Follow established standards of nursing practices and implement facility policy and procedures
- Supervise and evaluate all direct resident care and initiate corrective action, as needed
- Conduct resident rounds daily, reporting problems to nursing supervisor and initiating corrective action
- Assume responsibility for compliance with federal, state and local regulations within the assigned unit
- Administer and document direct resident care, medications and treatment per physicians orders and accurately record all care provided
- Promptly report changes in residents conditions to the physician, Director of Nursing, responsible party, and take follow-up action as necessary
Requirements
What you’ll need- Nursing Diploma (ASN or BSN)
- TN Registered Nursing license in good standing
- Geriatric long term care experience preferred
- Current CPR certification
