About the role
- Implement corporate/division policies and programs including labor agreements, safety and health
- Responsible for HR department budget and supervising employees in the department
- Administer employee and labor relation matters including grievance procedures and wage administration
- Provide leadership development for managers, employees, and trainees
- Support performance management duties and advise on company-union matters
- Oversee employee benefits and COBRA administration
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or related field preferred
- 5 years of experience in human resource management, particularly in a union environment
- Master’s degree in a related field combined with a PHR or SPHR Certificate preferred
- 3 years’ experience in an industrial environment administrating CBA’s, and assisting with contract negotiations
- Strong day-to-day coaching experience
- Knowledge of company personnel policies and labor laws (CBA administration, grievance procedures, FMLA administration)
