Assistant Director, Government Programs, Research and Strategic Development

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Represent TEDCO initiatives before stakeholders, agencies, and partners
- Monitor legislation, attend hearings, draft testimony, and assist with policy analysis
- Conduct research and analysis related to innovation policy and economic development trends
- Assist in the implementation of the Maryland Advanced Manufacturing Program
- Support the development of new TEDCO programs and internal evaluation processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in government affairs, program management, or related fields
- Strong understanding of Maryland State government and legislative processes
- Experience coordinating complex projects involving multiple stakeholders
- Experience preparing reports, testimony, or policy analysis
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
