About the role
- Plan for, identify and document standards for custom applications user interfaces
- Conduct accessibility testing and ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA standards
- Research and document guidance for custom applications in .NET environment
- Develop and document processes to ensure ongoing accessibility in applications
- Collaborate with IT staff and development teams
Requirements
- 4+ years of advanced level experience designing web-based application user interfaces that are accessible and mobile friendly, adhering to WCAG 2.1 AA standards
- 4+ years of advanced level experience with front-end web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, modern JavaScript frameworks)
- 4+ years of advanced level experience identifying, documenting and implementing accessibility, mobile and usability standards
- Experience using Accessibility tools (Lighthouse, Axe dev, NVDA, Aria, jaws, ANDI) for compliance
- Experience designing user interfaces using Adobe XD, Figma for prototyping and wireframes
- Knowledge and experience working in a Microsoft .Net environment
- Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet project timelines and provide input into task estimates
