About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide on‑demand, timely professional IT support services to the Team Ship Front Office within the Information Management & Security (IM&S) Directorate, across the PAE Maritime Organization, Washington, DC.
  • Provide day‑to‑day administration of Windows-based desktops, laptops, and servers in classified and unclassified environments.
  • Support user account management, permissions, system configuration, patching, and troubleshooting in accordance with DoD and PAE Maritime standards.
  • Deliver Tier II/III technical support to government personnel, resolving escalated help desk incidents.
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain end-user hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Support virtualization, backup, and system availability efforts in coordination with enterprise IT service providers.
  • Assist government ISSMs and ISSOs with Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities, continuous monitoring, and cybersecurity compliance.
  • Apply security patches, and configuration baselines to maintain system security.
  • Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, asset inventories, and system configuration records.
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity, networking, application teams, and vendors to support mission operations.
  • Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in systems administration or IT operations
  • Experience supporting IT systems in a DoD or federal government environment preferred
  • Familiarity with Windows OS, Active Directory, and enterprise IT services
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Must possess an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a collaborative, mission‑focused environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
