About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain applications, automation, and integrations using Python, JavaScript, Google Apps Script, APIs, cloud services, and modern web frameworks
- Move between projects, teams, and business areas, gathering context and delivering useful capability within short engagements
- Work with government stakeholders to define requirements, propose realistic options, iterate on designs, and confirm solutions meet operational needs
- Build data-driven tools, dashboards, and interfaces that make complex information usable
- Integrate AI and automation capabilities where they deliver value
- Deliver working software in short Agile sprints, including testing, user acceptance, production support, and modernization of existing tools
- Ensure applications meet accessibility, security, and federal compliance requirements
- Document work so others can support and extend applications
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 12 or more years of software development experience
- Master's degree with 10 years of experience also considered
- Demonstrated full-stack ability across front-end interfaces, back-end services, APIs, databases, and deployment
- Proficiency with Python, JavaScript, and SQL
- Experience building applications integrating with cloud services, enterprise data platforms, and third-party systems
- Familiarity with version control, CI/CD, testing practices, and production troubleshooting
- Strong problem-solving and customer communication skills
- Track record of learning new tools and technologies as project needs change
- U.S. citizenship required
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain federal suitability, a government-issued PIV credential, and required system access
