About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain applications, automation, and integrations using Python, JavaScript, Google Apps Script, APIs, cloud services, and modern web frameworks
Move between projects, teams, and business areas, gathering context and delivering useful capability within short engagements
Work with government stakeholders to define requirements, propose realistic options, iterate on designs, and confirm solutions meet operational needs
Build data-driven tools, dashboards, and interfaces that make complex information usable
Integrate AI and automation capabilities where they deliver value
Deliver working software in short Agile sprints, including testing, user acceptance, production support, and modernization of existing tools
Ensure applications meet accessibility, security, and federal compliance requirements
Document work so others can support and extend applications

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
12 or more years of software development experience
Master's degree with 10 years of experience also considered
Demonstrated full-stack ability across front-end interfaces, back-end services, APIs, databases, and deployment
Proficiency with Python, JavaScript, and SQL
Experience building applications integrating with cloud services, enterprise data platforms, and third-party systems
Familiarity with version control, CI/CD, testing practices, and production troubleshooting
Strong problem-solving and customer communication skills
Track record of learning new tools and technologies as project needs change
U.S. citizenship required
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain federal suitability, a government-issued PIV credential, and required system access
