About the role
- Architectural design of network systems, network migrations, WLAN and WAN, and their integration into the IT landscape; further development and implementation of the technology roadmap
- Cost estimation for solutions
- Internal and client coordination on solution design
- Design of the system architecture for internal production environments
- Development of implementation and operational concepts for used infrastructure components
- Technical support for service delivery management for existing customers
- Review of customer architecture integration into existing landscapes
- Qualification of customer tenders and assessment of technical feasibility
- Documentation, clarification and specification of customer requirements
- Development of business cases and calculations for customer acquisition
- Execution of technical due diligence and development of solution concepts
- Consulting on technical solution design for customers on-site and remotely
- Integration of new customers into existing operational processes
- Collaboration within cross-functional project teams
- Identifying and analyzing problems and initiating corrective measures
- Recording and documenting incidents using a trouble ticket system
- Initiating escalation procedures in critical incidents
- Acting as the technical point of contact
- Representing the Network Administration department in cross-team solution discussions
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of various network topologies (ACI, Ethernet, WLAN, etc.)
- Strong experience with products from multiple network vendors (Cisco, F5, Fortinet, etc.)
- Solid knowledge of cloud technologies
- Broad interdisciplinary knowledge of software products used in networking, storage, VMware, operating systems, etc.
- Strong customer-oriented mindset and approach
- Analytical, systematic and structured work style
- Professional, trustworthy and empathetic demeanor
- High flexibility, resilience and motivation
- Personal commitment to the topic and independent acquisition of new knowledge
