About the role
- Perform database administration assignments essential to the implementation and operation of database systems and applications running on Linux and Windows server platforms
- Supporting the complete software development life cycle from conception to deployment in an Agile environment
- Review and ensure database integrity using standardized support tools
- Ensure tasks are performed in accordance with database administration guidelines, standards and procedures for application development, implementation, testing, and migration
- Modifying and testing changes to previously developed programs
- Support both DevOps and New Feature development
- Document and maintain software functionality
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
- Create and develop well designed and testable code aligning with current Database standards
- Be available to troubleshoot SQL Server service outages even after-hours and weekends
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or a combination of education and relevant experience
- 3+ years of database administration experience
- Specific experience in database design and implementation
