About the role
- Optimize existing products from information or input provided by various stakeholders
- Manage modifications for new applications consistent with manufacturing techniques and economies
- Initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality and cost while meeting customer requirements
- Gather product requirements as documented by TE, customer, industry, and military specifications
- Communicate directly with Customers to track all product requirements
- Design/Redesign products to solve issues or support cost optimization
- Perform engineering analyses and risk assessment for product reliability
- Review non-conforming material requests and assist in root cause analysis
Requirements
- Mechanical Engineering degree or Mechatronics (or equivalent)
- 7+ years of experience, preferably in product design/sustaining for the aerospace industry
- Experience with CREO or SolidWorks design software
- Strong mechanical and material analysis; troubleshooting skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Must be a self-managed team player with superior time management skills
- Posses strong knowledge of good engineering principles and design practices
- Familiar with Aerospace specifications and standards
- GDT – Geometric Tolerances / stack up analysis experience, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma environment preferred
