About the role
- Lead the testing and troubleshooting of shipboard navigation equipment
- Lead technical refreshes of existing systems
- Complete Shipboard Operability Verification Tests for navigation and steering systems
- Assess proper integration with navigation and steering peripheral equipment such as Hydraulic Power Units, Navigation Data Sources, and or RADARs
- Travel to fleet concentration areas to facilitate technical installations, and or repairs including OCONUS destinations.
- Facilitate crew maintenance upgrades as it pertains to new system installation and operation.
- Provide subject matter expertise at status meetings.
- Complete assigned tasking with minimal to no supervision.
- Facilitate fleet implementation and fielding plans.
- Develop and execute test plans, and update system drawings as needed.
- Provide feedback and lessons learned for test plans and technical documentation
Requirements
- Successful applicants must either have an active government security clearance or the ability to receive approval upon position acceptance.
- Due to the nature of our work with the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. citizenship is required.
- Some positions may require the renunciation of any non-U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
