About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze data, including financial reporting, variances to budget, and related information
  • Handle and process invoices, including verification of accuracy and validity, requesting approval, coding, and submitting
  • Provide guidance and assistance to team members on company programs and processes such as time reporting, expense reporting, and training
  • Requisition needed services and materials
  • Support management of department budget by compiling reports and assisting with forecasting activities
  • Provide general and specialized information regarding departmental support functions
  • Handle highly sensitive and confidential information and issues in an appropriate and professional manner
  • Review and respond to internal and external communications while maintaining appropriate confidentiality
  • Maintain the records filing system in accordance with company standards
  • Assemble weekly management reports
  • Prepare meeting agendas and take meeting minutes as requested
  • Prepare documents, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations
  • Perform other tasks as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six or more years of related experience
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Demonstrated budgeting and forecasting experience
  • Associate degree in administration, accounting, finance, business, or a related program preferred
  • Solid understanding of TC Energy's structure, business interests, and key stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • This position requires candidates to travel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings, or training, which may involve some overnight stays away from home
  • Work overtime when required
