About the role

  • Conduct manual testing of our mobile banking app across various devices and platforms
  • Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts to assess app functionality and performance
  • Report and track bugs using bug tracking tools, and work with the development team to address issues
  • Perform regression testing to ensure that bugs are resolved and do not reoccur
  • Validate app features and functionalities against design specifications and user requirements
  • Collaborate with remote teams to ensure timely and high-quality app updates
  • Stay informed about the latest mobile app testing practices and industry trends

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in testing native mobile apps (iOS, Android), web, and backend
  • Strong knowledge of mobile app testing methodologies and best practice
  • Familiarity with localization and internationalization testing
  • Experience with Chrome DevTools
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus
  • Ability to trace queries in Android Studio and Xcode
  • Understanding of mobile app monitoring and crash reporting tools (e.g., Crashlytics)
  • Proficient in Jira for bug tracking and management
  • Experience with Test Case management tools and coordinating User Acceptance Testing is a plus
  • Effective collaboration in Agile development environments
  • Skilled in manual verification methods for testing app interactions with backend APIs (e.g., Postman, Swagger) and performing basic database checks using simple SQL queries to validate data integrity
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
