About the role

  • Lead and manage all day-to-day accounting operations, including GL management, AP/AR, payroll coordination, revenue recognition, and monthly reconciliations.
  • Partner with CFO on month-end and year-end close processes; ensure timely, accurate, and GAAP-compliant reporting.
  • Oversee consolidation and reporting for U.S. and international subsidiaries.
  • Partner with the CFO to prepare financial reports, enhance internal reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and variance analyses.
  • Assist in the creation and refinement of forecasts, operating budgets, and cash flow models.
  • Maintain accounting policies and documentation across multiple entities.
  • Establish, document, and enforce internal controls suitable for a high-growth organization.
  • Support tax filings, audits, and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Monitor accounting standards, regulatory changes, and best practices, ensuring company adherence.
  • Support financial integration of newly acquired businesses, including harmonizing systems, reporting frameworks, accounting methodologies, and processes.
  • Collaborate with leadership across Finance, Operations, Product, HR, and Sales to ensure financial accuracy and process alignment.
  • Provide hands-on support to the CFO on special projects, including investor reporting, M&A activity, board materials, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, preferably with exposure to both start-ups and established organizations.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and multi-entity accounting.
  • Experience with financial consolidations and international subsidiaries.
  • Proven ownership of month-end close, reporting, and internal controls.
  • High proficiency with accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
  • Ability to operate independently, anticipate needs, and thrive in a fast-moving environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
  • Preferred CPA or working toward licensure.
  • Experience in technology, SaaS, philanthropic/CSR, or transaction-heavy businesses.
  • Prior involvement in post-acquisition integration.
  • Experience supporting or partnering with a distributed executive team.
