About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- carry out shift analysis tasks with accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to quality standards
- prepare samples for analysis each day, including registration, splitting, crushing, pulverising, and sizing in line with established procedures
- perform AAS and XRF analyses safely, efficiently, and to required standards
- ensure full compliance with laboratory procedures, quality systems, and safety requirements
- maintain a clean, organised, and safe laboratory work environment
- assist the Laboratory Management Team with additional duties as needed to support smooth laboratory operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- collaborative team player with strong communication skills
- able to work a 7 days on / 7 days off, 7 nights on / 7 nights off roster (12 ‑ hour shifts)
- passionate about safety and proactive in maintaining a clean and safe workplace
- experienced in laboratory or mining environments (highly regarded but not essential)
- certificate III in Laboratory Skills (highly regarded but not essential)
- confident with numbers and computer applications, with strong attention to detail
