About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, apprentices and contractors
Coordinate and execute planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance activities across fixed plant assets
Foster a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with site and statutory requirements
Collaborate with Operations, Planning, and Engineering teams to maximise equipment reliability and plant availability
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve maintenance performance
Monitor maintenance KPIs and ensure accurate reporting and work order management within the CMMS
Manage contractor performance and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
Provide coaching, mentoring, and leadership to support team development and operational success

Requirements

What you’ll need

A relevant trade qualification and demonstrated experience in a mining, processing or heavy industrial maintenance environment
Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate, coach and develop high-performing maintenance team
Strong knowledge of fixed plant maintenance, asset reliability and maintenance planning principles
Experience using CMMS systems (ideally SAP) for work management, reporting and maintenance execution
A strong commitment to safety, with the ability to lead by example and foster a positive safety culture
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across Operations, Planning and Engineering teams
Sound problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly in fast-paced operational environments
