Business Analyst – Freelance

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create and manage technically grounded requirements with a focus on migrations, interfaces and data flows
- Elicit and document requirements at both business and system levels
- Translate business requirements into clear, precise technical specifications
- Facilitate workshops
- Orchestrate data flows across integration layers
- Specify, document and test interfaces
- Read and analyze API documentation (e.g., Swagger/OpenAPI)
- Support API versioning and change management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed education in an IT or business-related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Experience in business analysis or requirements engineering
- Practical understanding of API-based system integration (REST APIs, JSON, XML)
- Ability to independently read, specify and test interfaces
- Proficient in Jira and Confluence
- Structured, solution-oriented working style with strong communication skills when working with stakeholders
- Very good German and English skills, written and spoken
