About the role

  • Design BI solution architectures and structure data according to appropriate dimensional models.
  • Create dashboards with clear storytelling and impactful visualizations from data.
  • Analyze, model, develop and test end-to-end decision-support solutions following best practices.
  • Understand business needs and contribute to data strategies to address them effectively.
  • Support and train teams in adopting decision-support solutions and tools.
  • Lead workshops and interactions with all stakeholders, from design through deployment.
  • Establish and maintain complete technical and functional documentation.
  • Ensure the quality of deployments and oversee distribution and update processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Approximately 5 years of development experience with technologies relevant to the role.
  • Expertise in data modeling and data engineering.
  • Familiarity with tools (or their equivalents): Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, ETL/ELT, SQL, Python and DAX.
  • Strong knowledge of data architecture and databases.
  • Good understanding of cloud solutions and Azure tools or their equivalents, and of SCRUM/Agile development.
  • Experience working with versioning and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps.
  • Solid understanding of data governance and its tools.
  • Knowledge of other modern platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, etc. is an asset.
  • Demonstrated rigor and autonomy in managing deliverables and priorities.
  • Show adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Proactively solve problems with initiative.
  • Effectively simplify technical concepts for different audiences.
  • Collaborate smoothly with business and technical teams.
  • Confidently facilitate workshops and training sessions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English to communicate with clients across North America.
