About the role
- Support congress strategy, planning, and execution, including all aspects associated with defining engagement, organizing, planning, and post-event wrap-up.
- Contribute to the exhibit booth design, promotional materials, engagements, and scheduling/staffing needs.
- Develop creative briefs for agency partnership and ensure brand execution of messaging & strategy.
- Develop assets for regional conferences and act as a point of contact for the field sales team to assist in planning, processing, and execution.
- Secure sponsorships with associations and facilitate internal Letter of Agreement approval process with E&C and L for marketing strategies and tactics.
- Continually evaluate the effectiveness of key marketing tactics, making strategic recommendations to leadership on brand optimization.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Marketing, PRT, E&C, Meetings and Events, Field Sales) to communicate objectives, plans, and enhance operational excellence.
- Demonstrate ability to execute strategic and tactical plans under short timelines.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscape to inform tactical ideas and opportunities.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the progress and process of program planning and execution.
- Attend routine status meetings with cross-functional partners, agencies, and Brand to review progress weekly.
- Work with the highest degree of professionalism and in accordance with Takeda’s code of ethics and business conduct.
- Support strategic planning and execution of advisory boards, including agenda development, stakeholder alignment, and post-event debriefs.
- Coordinate logistics and operations in partnership with Meetings & Events, ensuring seamless execution of in-person, virtual, or hybrid formats.
- Support the development and management of content for advisory board presentations, pre-reads, and discussion guides in collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Partner with Medical, Legal, Regulatory and Compliance to ensure all materials and engagements meet internal and external standards.
- Collaborate with agency partners by developing creative briefs and ensuring timely delivery of assets aligned with brand strategy and objectives.
- Facilitate speaker and advisor engagement, including contracting, onboarding, and communication of expectations and deliverables.
- Track and analyze insights gathered during advisory boards to inform brand strategy, medical planning, and future engagements.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive intelligence to inform advisory board topics and participant selection.
- Define and report on KPIs, including advisor engagement, insight quality, and impact on strategic decision-making.
- Demonstrate agility and professionalism in managing multiple priorities under tight timelines, in alignment with Takeda’s code of ethics and business conduct.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is required with a focus in Biology, Marketing, Strategy and/or Business Administration preferred.
- 5+ years of progressively responsible marketing or sales experience within the bio-pharmaceutical industry with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Congress and/or Advisory Board management.
- Experience working with congress and/or conference planning, training, asset development and execution.
- Work effectively with cross-functional teams with a proven ability to influence without authority.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong financial management and budgeting capabilities.
- Willingness to travel to occasional programs that could include overnight stays.
- High comfort level with emerging technologies, adaptability to digital tools, and openness to AI-enabled processes.
