About the role

  • Responsible for analyzing process flow diagrams and performing mass and energy balances, developing unit operation models based on literature and measured data.
  • Will work on the implementation of mass balance, metallurgical balance, and mineral tracking systems across mining and steel value chains.
  • Will prepare executive presentations, reports, and technical documents for clients and internal teams.
  • Provide technical support in the preparation of commercial proposals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mining Engineering.
  • Intermediate level English or Spanish (required).
  • Experience with industrial processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient in Python for data analysis and modeling.
  • Ability to communicate technical and strategic information across different organizational levels.
  • Experience managing teams (2–4 direct reports).
  • Experience with agile methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban) is a plus.
  • Advanced programming and modeling in Python is a plus.
  • +2 years’ experience in unit operations within the iron and steel production chain is a plus.
  • Experience in mass balance investigations is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of control loop analysis and instrumentation is a plus.
  • Fundamentals of process control are a plus.
