About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan and conduct user research activities (interviews, usability testing, surveys) with support where needed
- Analyse qualitative and quantitative data to uncover meaningful insights
- Contribute to workshops (e.g. discovery, ideation, journey mapping), with increasing confidence in facilitation
- Support the synthesis of research into clear outputs such as insights, journey maps, personas and opportunity areas
- Help identify user needs and translate them into actionable problem statements
- Contribute to and independently carry out audits of existing experiences and the concepting of solutions based on research, strategy and data
- Create clear wireframes, user flows and low to mid fidelity prototypes to explore and communicate ideas
- Contribute to high-fidelity designs for new experiences and optimisation work
- Ensure quality, consistency and accessibility are considered throughout the design process
- Work with and contribute to design systems and component libraries
- Present design work to internal and client stakeholders at key stages of projects, with support where needed
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, strategy, design) in agile and traditional delivery environments
- Prepare design documentation and assets for development teams
- Collaborate with senior designers to align on approach, priorities and design direction
- Contribute to a positive team culture through feedback, collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Stay informed about design trends, UX methodologies, accessibility standards and product thinking
- Engage in training, internal knowledge sharing and team critiques
- Proactively seek feedback to improve craft, communication and confidence
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience contributing to end-to-end research and design across digital products or services
- Good understanding of UX methodologies, human-centred design and product thinking
- Proficiency with Figma and prototyping tools
- Experience designing responsive digital experiences
- Awareness of accessibility standards (WCAG) and how to apply them
- Comfortable using research and analytics to inform design decisions
- Ability to independently analyse research inputs and contribute to insight generation
- Comfortable translating research into design outputs and recommendations
- Developing confidence in framing problems, generating ideas and validating solutions
- Familiar with AI-powered tools across design and research workflows and how they can support efficiency
- Aware of their limitations and able to use them responsibly within design processes
- Proactive, with a strong curiosity and a desire to learn and develop
- Able to manage defined tasks and contribute to broader project streams
- Strong collaboration skills in multidisciplinary teams
- Good communication and presentation skills, with growing confidence in stakeholder interactions
- Open to feedback and able to iterate on work constructively
