About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Generate and qualify new business opportunities across brands, rights holders, institutions and sports properties.
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of commercial opportunities.
- Develop relationships with senior decision-makers including CMOs, Marketing Directors, CEOs and General Managers.
- Identify and pursue strategic growth opportunities for the agency.
- Create and execute action plans to achieve ambitious new business objectives.
- Lead the entire sales process from prospecting to contract signature.
- Conduct commercial meetings, presentations and negotiations with prospective clients.
- Drive conversion of opportunities into long-term client relationships.
- Achieve agreed revenue and new business targets.
- Develop long-term partnerships that generate sustainable growth for the agency.
- Work closely with the Director of Strategy & New Business Proposals to ensure client needs are accurately translated into compelling agency solutions.
- Coordinate proposal development processes while maintaining ownership of the client relationship and commercial negotiations.
- Facilitate collaboration between strategy, consulting, creative and specialist teams throughout the sales cycle.
- Represent CA Sports at industry events, conferences and networking opportunities.
- Maintain a strong presence within the sports business ecosystem.
- Continuously identify emerging commercial opportunities and industry trends.
- Act as a senior ambassador for the agency within the sports, marketing and business communities.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 10 years of commercial experience within sports marketing, sponsorship, media, events, consulting or agency environments.
- Proven track record of generating significant new business revenue.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of the sports industry ecosystem.
- Experience working with senior decision-makers and C-Level executives.
- Extensive and active network of senior marketing and business decision-makers.
- Ability to access and influence key stakeholders across brands, agencies, sports properties and institutions.
- Existing portfolio of relationships capable of generating business opportunities from day one.
- Professional fluency in English and Spanish is essential. Candidates must be fully bilingual in both languages, with the ability to lead meetings, negotiations and presentations at executive level. Additional languages will be highly valued.
- Full availability to travel nationally and internationally as required by business opportunities, client meetings, industry events and agency commitments.
