About the role

  • Responsible for proactively ensuring on-site inventory levels and logistics requirements that supports district operations are maintained at a high standard
  • Position is responsible for the coordination, delivery of materials (i.e. sand, etc.), costing, and inventory carrying levels
  • Involves supply chain process flows, inventory management, transportation, freight analysis, invoice auditing and quality assurance
  • Monitor Third Party Carriers usage to ensure the correct number of trucks /companies are being utilized
  • Continuously reviewing rates to ensure best rates in district and exploring all potential cost saving avenues
  • Responsible to evaluate the carriers to ensure compliance to all company policies and Procedures
  • Audit company trucks for DOT compliance and service hours
  • Ensure utilization of company trucks.
  • Inspect company equipment for cleanliness and maintaining operational status
  • Responsible for the daily monitoring of open po’s, Goods receipts, cycle counts, charge out, transfers. etc. to ensure inventory is properly stated in each field location
  • Open Po’s must be within a normal aging based on lead time
  • All paperwork must be completed and entered into the system daily before end of shift
  • Responsible for periodic reviews of inventory levels with district management to ensure proper inventory types are stocked at each location
  • Responsible for the security of the inventory in each location. All issues related to the security must be documented and addressed with district leadership and the Distribution Manager-Manufacturing
  • Responsible for the accuracy of inventory through cycle counts and at least one physical inventory at year end
  • Responsible to train all field personnel on the business monitoring dashboards created to assist in the management of inventory
  • Optimize inventory in the field to support the business.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience of 5-7 years in related fields
  • 1-3 years of experience supervising others preferably in a supply chain management or logistics environment
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work as a team or independently with changing priorities
  • Ability to think strategically with excellent quantitative skills
  • Proven record of results-based performance
  • Strong initiative and proven project management skills
  • Sensitive to confidential information.
