About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provides leadership, direction, and consulting to managers across APAC Distribution encompassing all investment products and institutional clients serviced
- Responsible for the planning, implementation and monitoring of compliance requirements, and establishing and executing programs to measure, mitigate and monitor risk
- Coordinates with resources outside of APAC Distribution to design and deliver effective compliance and risk management programs and reporting
- Acts as the Compliance Coordinator for APAC Distribution and manages the day-to-day compliance activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and 8+ years of total relevant work experience
- Knowledgeable on country specific rules and regulations for all APAC regions, in particular, in key markets such as China, Japan, Southeast Asia, and Australia
- Ability to understand complex and multi-jurisdictional regulatory requirements and maintain a broad understanding of various processes across APAC
- Knowledge of APAC regulatory framework with direct relevant experience
- Working knowledge of compliance within the investment industry including frameworks, tools, and concepts
- Prior global asset management experience supporting institutional and intermediary clients and knowledge of Asset Management products and vehicles, e.g., separate accounts, SICAVs, private funds, exchange-traded funds, AUTs, ITMs, etc.
- Fluency in Japanese or Mandarin (spoken) and traditional and simplified Chinese (written) – other regional language skills would be advantageous too
