About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyze legacy systems, applications, and integrations to understand end-to-end data flows;
Investigate APIs, DTOs, payloads, database structures, SQL queries, and source code;
Identify, map, and document data flows, business rules, validations, and inter-system dependencies;
Reconstruct and formalize Data Lineage, Data Flow, Data Dictionary, Data Models, and Audit Trail artifacts;
Map technical structures to business semantic concepts, ensuring traceability of information;
Perform reverse-engineering activities to understand legacy applications, databases, and integrations;
Support data inventory, cataloging, and information governance initiatives;
Use AI-assisted analysis tools to accelerate investigations, documentation, and technical analyses;
Evaluate, validate, and augment results produced by AI tools, ensuring data quality and consistency;
Produce structured technical documentation and governance artifacts aligned with corporate standards;
Collaborate with Data Governance, Architecture, and Development teams, as well as business areas;
Contribute to the continuous improvement of traceability, quality, and understanding of the organization's data assets.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience analyzing and investigating legacy systems;
Intermediate to advanced SQL skills;
Ability to read and understand source code;
Knowledge of APIs, JSON, DTOs, and system integrations;
Analytical, investigative, and problem-solving mindset;
Ability to interpret technical flows and their relation to business rules;
Intermediate English;
Java and Spring Boot ecosystem;
Oracle and/or SQL Server;
Database reverse engineering, including stored procedures;
Concepts of Data Lineage, Data Governance, and Metadata;
Data governance and catalog tools (e.g., Collibra);
Experience with data inventory and flow mapping;
Experience in the insurance market;
Experience with data governance, lineage, or inventory initiatives;
Knowledge of engineering workflows supported by AI;
Experience with tools such as GPT, Devstral, Continue Extension, or similar.
