About the role

  • Develop and optimize data pipelines to address specific business needs.
  • Conduct data analysis and visualize pipeline performance to improve operational efficiency and scalability to ensure they support high volume and high velocity data streams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy data pipelines and machine learning capabilities into production.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in data engineering.
  • Maintain documentation for data stores and data pipelines.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in data engineering technologies and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Two (2) – Four (4) years of data engineering experience.
  • Experience creating ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure-native services.
  • Experience with maintaining data models.
  • Proficiency with programming languages such as Python and SQL.
  • Proficiency with distributed version control systems such as Git.
  • Ability to process data effectively.
  • Ability to lead tasks and produce results for the business.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and results.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (Preferred).
  • Experience designing application programming interfaces or relational database managements systems (Preferred).
  • Experience with CI/CD practices (Preferred).
  • Proficiency with PySpark (Preferred).
  • Knowledge of data masking or data governance in Databricks (Preferred).
  • Knowledge of AI functions in Databricks (Preferred).
  • Knowledge of clinical trial data (Preferred).
