About the role
- Provide support to the Procurement Team in the management of daily requests
- Provide customer-responsive, cost-effective and high-quality purchasing services
- Maintain the integrity of the purchasing process
- Manage and communicate incoming requests via closed loop web based ticketing system
- Receive, review, and process purchase requisitions, ensuring compliance with company policies
- Facilitate contact with departmental representatives to clarify or obtain additional information
- Develop and distribute purchase orders and change orders to vendors and internal customers
- Liaise with the Vendor Contracts group to ensure agreements are executed
- Track and maintain vendor purchasing activities and measurements
- Utilize Oracle and procurement process knowledge to determine required audits
- Analyze and interpret quotes, estimates, or bids to ensure requirements will be met
- Ensure efficiency, is highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent follow-up skills
Requirements
- Students or recent BA/BS in Logistics, administration, Business Administration or Finance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, and voicemail.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, flexibility, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, understand, and carry out detailed instruction
- Ability to organize and work concurrently on several projects
- Excellent written/oral communication and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proven history of effective supply management.
