About the role

  • Provide support to the Procurement Team in the management of daily requests
  • Provide customer-responsive, cost-effective and high-quality purchasing services
  • Maintain the integrity of the purchasing process
  • Manage and communicate incoming requests via closed loop web based ticketing system
  • Receive, review, and process purchase requisitions, ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Facilitate contact with departmental representatives to clarify or obtain additional information
  • Develop and distribute purchase orders and change orders to vendors and internal customers
  • Liaise with the Vendor Contracts group to ensure agreements are executed
  • Track and maintain vendor purchasing activities and measurements
  • Utilize Oracle and procurement process knowledge to determine required audits
  • Analyze and interpret quotes, estimates, or bids to ensure requirements will be met
  • Ensure efficiency, is highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent follow-up skills

Requirements

  • Students or recent BA/BS in Logistics, administration, Business Administration or Finance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, and voicemail.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, flexibility, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, understand, and carry out detailed instruction
  • Ability to organize and work concurrently on several projects
  • Excellent written/oral communication and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proven history of effective supply management.
