About the role

  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable data pipelines and ETL processes using relevant technologies.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of data warehouses.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of data through rigorous testing and validation.
  • Work closely with Designers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Product Managers to translate high-level requirements into detailed data architectures and designs.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in Data Engineering, and proactively apply this knowledge to improve our products and processes.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to Data Engineers through code reviews and technical discussions.
  • Implement and maintain comprehensive testing strategies to ensure the reliability and stability of data pipelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering
  • Strong proficiency in SQL
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks (Spark, notebooks, workflows)
  • Experience working with Snowflake as a cloud data warehouse
  • Experience with Python (Scala or Java is a plus)
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and modern data architectures
  • Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Familiarity with Apache Spark and distributed data processing
  • Basic experience with Docker and containerized environments
  • Knowledge of relational and non-relational data modeling
  • Experience with version control systems (Git)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and data integrations
